CEN and CENELEC, in collaboration with the European Commission‘s Joint Research Centre (JRC), annually conduct a foresight initiative called “Putting Science into Standards” (PSIS).
The 2023 PSIS workshop focuses on Circular technologies for construction, addressing the construction sector’s significance in the European Green Deal’s Circular Economy Action Plan. It aims to coordinate policies from waste management to product standards for a more circular construction sector.
The workshop unites stakeholders from research, scientific, and standardization communities with policymakers to discuss standardization needs. Objectives include defining circular principles, reflecting on gap analysis findings, gathering stakeholder input, and involving the scientific community in future standardization.
