The Eurosky Tower is the first building of the Italian capital city dedicated to the so-called high-rise residential construction. It is a structure that interprets and blends two different architectural styles: the former looks to the past and to the many buildings that dominated Rome’s skyline; the latter expresses the future, concentrating all possible innovations in the construction field on the tower, ranging from architectural to technological and moving on to the energy and structural aspects.

"What is the main challenge? Designing a 33-storey tower, 120 metres high, in a seismic area such as Rome has been considered a challenge for many years."

The context of the Eurosky Tower project

The Eurosky Tower, mainly intended for residential use, has a rectangular plan measuring 30 m x 60 m, with a total mass of 74,000 tons. The building is part of the Europarco Business Park, an 805,000 m2 complex that combines the grandeur of land-art with the high-tech contemporaneity of skyscrapers.

The urban dimension of the EUR Sud – Castellaccio area, the southern outskirts of Rome, changes shape and evolves into a metropolitan space characterised by steel, crystal and stone.
